KIP\u2019s production companies are industry leaders, and most of their output is exported. The proximity of the Port of Kokkola significantly supports the region\u2019s export industry.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Service companies provide a wide range of products and services that support the core operations of production plants in the area. KIP\u2019s success is built on long-term collaboration and industrial symbiosis. The area has an extensive range of utilities and is nearly self-sufficient. KIP\u2019s accessibility is excellent \u2013 Kokkola is located on the main railway line, and the rail network extends directly into the heart of the area. The Port of Kokkola offers a 14-meter deep channel, a railcar tipper, and an All Weather Terminal. The airport is only 15 minutes away.    <\/span><\/p><p>The development and marketing of the area are coordinated by KIP Association, which ensures KIP\u2019s competitiveness and attractiveness for companies.
