The Deep Port serves as an efficient hub for bulk traffic. Its 14.2-meter deep-water channel allows the safe transit of the giants of the sea, such as Capesize and Panamax vessels. Modern cranes and conveyor systems ensure fast handling: at best, a Panamax vessel can be loaded in under three days. Large single shipments reduce the number of port calls, enhancing cost-efficiency and minimizing the environmental impact of transport.

The Silverstone Port is a versatile and growing service centre, which has developed into a multi-purpose service port since 2009. The extensive port fields enable the simultaneous handling of various types of goods. The landmark of Silverstone is the massive, 17-row high STS gantry container crane named “Mörkö” (the Groke). Named after ice hockey legend Marko Anttila, the 800-ton crane was modernized on site, reflecting the port’s sustainable operating approach. Mörkö ensures fast and reliable container connections to global markets, providing capacity for future growth.

The General Port offers unique weather resilience, thanks to the largest All-Weather Terminal (AWT) in Europe and the only one in the Nordic countries, which enables the handling of sensitive general cargo protected from the weather. Furthermore, the General Port specializes in the careful handling of light bulk (e.g., limestone). The General Port also boasts extensive storage capacity, including 48,000 square meters of warehouse and terminal space for general cargo and light bulk, in addition to wide open field areas.
