Exploring the Area
You can explore the Kokkola Industrial Park through presentations, company visits, and guided tours organized by the Executive Director. These presentations provide an overview of the area’s operations, companies, and industrial cooperation. Presentations can also be arranged for remote events.
All presentations, visits, or tours must be agreed upon in advance by email, and some organized visits may be subject to a fee. To schedule a presentation or visit and for more information, please contact the association’s Executive Director:

Arrival at the Area
Kokkola Industrial Park (KIP) is located at Satamatie 330, 67900 Kokkola, about 5 kilometers from Kokkola city center. The area is easily accessible by various means of transport:
- About 10 minutes’ drive to Kokkola railway station; the city is on the main railway line.
- About 20 minutes’ drive to Kokkola-Pietarsaari Airport.
- Entry to the area is always through Port Tower, which serves as the gateway to the industrial park and its companies.
Visits require a pre-arranged time and an access permit, which is requested by the host organization through Port Tower security.
Movement Within the Area
Movement within the Kokkola Industrial Park is always subject to authorization and requires an access permit. The industrial and port areas are fenced, and all vehicle and pedestrian traffic goes through Port Tower.
Factory and port gates are monitored, and companies oversee general safety through camera surveillance and patrols. Access to factory and port areas always requires a personal access permit, preceded by a visitor notification made by the host organization to Port Tower security.
Mobile App for Area Communication
SSG On Site is a digital communication service and app used in the KIP area for information sharing and safety communication. The app provides up-to-date information about the entire area as well as company-specific details. It ensures that important news and changes reach everyone moving within the area. Emergency notifications are still sent via SMS.
Downloading the app is recommended for anyone working or visiting the KIP area. The app can be downloaded free of charge from App Store or Google Play using the search term “SSG On Site.”
